Avant Garde Gallery is proud to present Echoes of Her: Exploring Global Identities through Women and Culture, a solo exhibition by award-winning multidisciplinary artist Giorgio Cole. This compelling body of work is a vibrant, multimedia tribute to the strength, elegance, and resilience of women across cultures and generations. Through a unique fusion of digital illustration, traditional painting, and large-scale serigraphy, Cole’s portraits celebrate the complexity and beauty of global identity.

Drawing from his extensive travels, personal photography, and lifelong fascination with cultural storytelling, Cole creates richly layered compositions that blur the boundaries between abstraction and realism. Each piece in the exhibition honors the traditions, attire, and symbolism rooted in the lived experiences of women who shape and carry cultural legacy.

Cole’s process begins digitally, but the final works emerge as tactile, mixed-media pieces that incorporate expressive brushwork, screen printing, and collage. The result is a collection of emotionally resonant portraits alive with texture, history, and color. More than representations, these works are celebrations—crafted with a deep sense of respect, reverence, and cultural understanding.

At its core, Echoes of Her is not about defining culture, but illuminating the enduring power of heritage and identity through a feminist lens. Through bold silhouettes, intricate adornments, and vivid palettes, Cole invites viewers to engage with stories of dignity, pride, and transformation.

About the Artist

Giorgio Cole is a Niagara Falls–born multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of culture, identity, and the human spirit. With a background in fine art, international studies, and language education, Cole brings a global perspective to his creative practice. His work has been exhibited internationally in London, Madrid, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and New York, and has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades.

Cole is also a published writer, actor, and self-taught musician. His practice is driven by a passion for storytelling and cultural appreciation, and Echoes of Her represents a pivotal moment in his evolving journey as a contemporary artist.
